📍 Churachandpur Deputy Commissioner Shri Krishna Kumar, IAS, visited the Sadbhavna Mandap relief camps in Tuibong Sub-Division on September 7 and interacted with internally displaced persons (IDPs).
During the visit, a medical camp was organised for the residents under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Henkhoneng Mate, with support from the district administration.
The Deputy Commissioner also distributed fire extinguishers to camp residents and listened to their grievances. He assured the displaced families that the administration would continue providing assistance and that their concerns would be addressed.
The administration also plans to have the Fire Department conduct training sessions for IDPs on the proper use of fire extinguishers.
Officials said the district administration is continuing to monitor conditions at relief camps, including prefabricated shelters, and coordinate relief assistance through the concerned Sub-Divisional Officers.
