Manipur’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 covered 20,93,076 electors across 16 districts, according to data published by the Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur. 📊🗳️
Imphal West recorded the highest number of electors at 3,90,196, followed by Imphal East with 3,31,602 and Thoubal with 2,09,628. Churachandpur recorded 1,93,418 electors, while Senapati had 1,50,097.
The CEO’s official SIR data lists a total of 60 Assembly constituencies across the state. The district-wise figures show variations in the number of electors and Assembly constituencies, with some districts having relatively smaller electorates but multiple constituencies.
The figures have also renewed discussion over the rationalisation of Assembly constituencies and delimitation in Manipur. The suggestion for such changes is an opinion expressed in the source material and does not represent an official government decision.
The SIR process is ongoing, with the final electoral roll scheduled for publication on September 6, 2026.
